if i consider a corrected answer my score will be around 170 can i be selected what will be me my approximate rank Sir kindly reconsider your answer key thoroughly about 10-15 answers are incorrect and please post the corrected answer key as soon as possible.
according to me there are almost no chances for you being selected. don't take it on heart. there are still many chances ahead and of course NTSE is also there. although you have 5% chances that you would be selected. let's see what the result says. and what's your name and your school?
my score will range between 165-170. last years paper was of a higher standard than this years. so will the cut off go upto 160 ?????????? and what could be approx rank.......... PLZ REPLY ASAP.
I don’t think that the cut off would go up to 170 or 175 as the paper was not so much easy........ some questions go wrong which we even know..... according to me the cut off wont be less than 160 or be more than 165....... 168 is not such a bad score......
thats what i am talking ..... after all its about 150 ranks and their are many students............... if the cut off is near 155... their would be many students in the band of 150 - 170.
parliament controls the govt money it is given in our civics textbook.......... most intense source of light is mercury vapour lamp ..... wattage is used to bill electricity
Yes, Parl controls money. However, electric bill is based on Kwh, not wattage of appliances! Can a mercury vapor vaporize a diamond? How can it b more intense than lasers? Commonsense
http://www.energylens.com/articles/kw-and-kwh this page is for you rajesh ambwani.... read it from top to bottom ... you will understand that we pay for wattage........
and i am not so much sure about laser and mercury vapour lamp.....
Read, my claim reinforced! Money=($/Kwh)Xno of units consumed. Thus, billing is done on the basis of Kwh and not wattage. Wattage is VXI or Joules/Sec. Consider, if you have a 1KW motor, sitting idle, you won't be billed for it unless you run it. Though the wattage is 100, no bill generated. On the other hand, if you run it for 2 hours, the energy consumed will be 2 Kwh at most. Thus max bill will be according to energy consumption and not wattage.
LASER is a monochromatic, man-made light source. The electromagnetic waves are in phase. Thus, they are transmitted over long distances without much spread. They can be made so intense that they can vaporize even a diamond.
@Rajesh Why are you so fighting for it. Whatever the answer is we can't change it. You have already given your exam. Now you can't change the answers. So chill!!!
First, I am not from Delhi so I could not appear for it. I did the paper only for academic interest and was quite amused to see incorrect concepts floating around.
After verifying all the answers I got a score of 152. Is that enough for being selected in the exam?? Please reply,,?

ReplyDeleteI don't think 165 is good enough. Cut-off will b 170.
ReplyDeleteI do not agree with you at all. The reasonable cut off score would be 175 upwards. The question paper was too easy this time.

ReplyDeleteCan u enlightened people tell me who controls govt money, most intense light source and measurement of which qty is used to determine electric bills?
ReplyDeleteparliament controls the govt money it is given in our civics textbook.......... most intense source of light is mercury vapour lamp ..... wattage is used to bill electricity
DeleteLaser is more intense than anything. It can vaporize a diamond! Wattage is a measure of power and not energy.

ReplyDeleteDUDE SEARCH IT ON THE NET .... BOTH MY ANSWERS ARE CORRECT.....
ReplyDeleteBTW FROM WHICH SCHOOL ARE YOU???
I don't agree with everything that is on the net. For eg wattage is not a measure of energy. Can u send me the link where it's mentioned?

ReplyDeleteElectricity billing is on kwh. The consumption is in wattage, but watt x power factor equals kwh; which is the basis of billing.

Kwh is the basis of billing. Watt x time is Kwh. Watt x Pf is not Kwh. Pf is used as there is a phase difference between v and I.
