  3. What do you mean "if" language test is considered?Isnt it obvious that ut will be considered considering the fact that NCERT introduced it to test language skills and overall academics.Besides if language is not considered the total wont even add upto 180. Well any idea when the official answer key and results are declared?

  5. But that was because it was stage 2 and is conducted by NCERT at a national level.Because stage 1 is conducted Directorate of Delhi state so i think it will be considered.

  7. I think there was a typo in the author varun singh's statement. I think he meant to say that the cutoff will not be more than 100, if language test is NOT considered.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sir, please correct your statement....difficult to make out what u mean

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think what I said in my above statement is correct.

    1. What!! he means that the cut off will not be more than 100!? Now, thats not possible

  10. Yes , it is truly absurd to think that the cutoff will be around 100 out of 140.
@ankur how much marks did you get?

    1. Either u get 126/127/128. Confirm with the key. Last year cutoff was 145 (85 and 60). What's so special about this year? Remember, the best qualified in class 8!!! U guys are the best of waste at best.

    6. Dear Mohak,

I am amused at the kindergarten touch in your remarks. I am quite surprised that someone carried a whitener to the exam!! Why?

I am already a JSTS, NTSE, KVPY scholar - so I am where I am. I see nothing meaningful being exchanged amongst u guys. All CBSE keedas? Have you realized that the question on A.P - the series is not an A.P at all!! The question on Geometry i.e Q 142 is ambiguous!!!

The answer given to Q 35 is wrong. The answer should be Bombay. All misconstrued by the expert! This answer prevails in all books as well - It's a common question.

Laterite soils lack organic matter as well as Potash.

What more? This exam seems to be run by a team of novices nowadays and u guys are falling for the trap! There seems to be a quest for scores, not knowledge. Remember, when you go for higher order competitions like JEE etc, u cannot follow these tenets and hope to succeed. Fundas man fundas!!

      Delete
    7. You might have succeeded in all exams till now but bro remember arrogance is the key to failure and it makes you fall very bad so kindly be humble in your remarks and refrain from talking abt others whom you dont know

      Delete
    8. And remember it was not kindergarten touch but truth whether you like it or not.

      Delete
    9. @ Maverick How can you be a KVPY scholar when you have given anthe this year?

      Delete
    10. And as for your other questions
I realized that the question on AP is not even an AP because the difference was not consistent. That is why I left the question.
Why do you think that Q. 142 was ambiguous?
Q35 is not clear as it is not mentioned in the question clearly whether
they want the code for CPNCBZ or what is coded as CPNCBZ?
As for the question on laterite soil, both the options are correct.
And if the exam is as pathetic as you claim it to be, hom come you are a Ntse scholar?

    12. For CPNCBZ
The official answer key gives the answer to be DQODCA, and I agree with them. Please read the question carefully.

    14. Aryaman,

What has Phosphoric content to do with Potash? Laterite soils lack both Humus and Potash. They will change the key if they have made a mistake. The answer to MAT question is wrong! First of all, A does not come after Z in alphabets to begin with. AP question in Math is wrong.

      Delete
  12. @ mohak the official key is already out.
    Please check at edudel.nic.in.

  14. what was the cutoff last year in stage1? in stage 2? varun sir what is your prediction?

    ReplyDelete
  15. The cutoff in stage 1 last year was 145(out of 180) and the cutoff of stage 2 was 92(out of 150). My prediction would be 115(out of 140) to be the cutoff this time around.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I request everyone to post their marks according to the present official answer key.
I am assuming they won't change the key anyway.
    I am getting 122/140.

    ReplyDelete
  17. sir, wt r ur prediction fr d cutoff?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think he already stated in his comment that the cutoff would be around 100.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Umm..he must hv mistyped i guess

    ReplyDelete
  20. cutoff around 100 is not possible....!!!!! i am scoring 119 and there are 5 children who are scoring more than me in my school (dps rk puram). one student is scoring as much as 134... cutoff will be near 127 i think

    ReplyDelete
  21. Now that's not funny, cutoff cannot be 127, it has to be around 115-117.

    ReplyDelete
  22. i expected this. sitaram don't feel disheartened, you will definitely succeed in some other exam. indeed, cutoff can't go below 125. i am good in studies (and obviously not brilliant) and i am scoring 119 which is just 3 marks less than ur score. brilliant students will be scoring at least 10 more than me i.e. 129. as you perhaps know, ntse is only meant for brilliant students (only 800 are selected from the whole crowd, and plz don't tell me that we are best of waste at best.) and good students (once in a blue moon). so, my estimation is -3/-4 from 129, that is 125/126....... you can take pride that you fell short only by 3-4 marks (and that's good), i will also take pride that i fell short by 7-8 marks (ntse is not my cup of tea, i like to sing), i wish you good luck for ur future....!!!!!

Oh! i forgot 2 tell u - i liked ur comment (Now that's not funny), it was really cool (definitely cooler than ur name! ha! ha! ha! ha!).

    4. Why do you say it's low? I would say all these people are overestimating the cutoff. It is definitely going to be in the neighbourhood of 115.

      Delete
  23. Hi Guys! You seem to be pretty naive. This guy Funny is taking you for a ride. Now hear this:

Varun Singh is right and the cutoff is not going to be more than 100-105 at best if you have used fair means. It is a fact that a few of the students in DPS RKP were using covert means of communication and this has been detected by the observers. They have only to correlate the detected mobile ph numbers to the subscribers and then they have a case to disqualify. Also, a couple of officials of DOE were involved in leaking answer keys. They have been suspended!!! As a proof of what I am saying is right, observe the answer keys of Language tests in English and Hindi. They are the same. This fact was leaked long before it was decided to scrap English.

You guys are falling over each other trying to predict cutoffs but none of this is gonna work. It is impossible to get 134 in this test unless one has cheated. Don't ask me how I have this info but I can tell you, it's authentic. Exam cheating is a full fledged industry!!!

  25. Hey, funny, I am with maverick for the first time , not the unfair means but the cutoff's not going to be 125. Let me tell you something kid the expert said the cutoff is going to be around 148, I agree with that , now let us do an analysis, the weakest in english will absolutely score at least 30 as language was super easy now what is 148-30. Think about that for a while. And you are gonna arrive at the maximum cutoff possible. I already cleared NSEJS this time , google it and you will find the number of seats in NSEJS in delhi. My real name's Ujjwal. Now sit back and enjoy the stupidity of your comment just like I did.

  26. @ Tapan Sharma
    Dear Friend,
I totally agree with Maverick that how could a applicant carry a whitener to the exam hall.
Consider the case (if): I after attempting some questions come to know that the other option was correct and there are many such questions. Then through any type of influence I make the invigilator to give me back my OMR sheet and I swiftly change the incorrect answers with the help of the whitener. That's why ball pen was introduced in NTSE so that students or any one are not able to do any unfair checking.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Do they disqualify you for using whitener??? I only used it in filling the answers!!! They may not give those marks to me but would they disqualify me!!! Please comment!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. What will be the expected cutoff for the language test in Delhi considering that NCERT advised it to be 40%.Would it be 16?

  29. Highest "132." Cutoff "120." Seats increased to 80 including SC/ST. 9 students from DPS RKP.

    2. Dude! Read one of my earlier replies! I told you that place is a Den of you know what. Results are not out but I know them. Papers were leaked out! You can verify the results too - I know 'em. Lots of pressure on officials to get certain candidates in. Many deserving students of S.M Arya Public School disqualified - They had max candidates last time. Seats increased to accommodate more "chosen" candidates. U need a Kejriwal there!

  35. Okay so far Maverick is right as i got to know that the seats have been increased to 80.So Maverick are u sure that the results will be announced in this week or so because what i got to know is that it is going to take a month more.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @Raghav Which result are you talking about?? Shaif didn't give NTSE as he cleared it in 8th!!

@Maverick Thanks man!! You have been really helpful!! There was a MAT question whose answer was wrong. Wasn't that corrected!!
Also in the AP question are marks given to all??

    ReplyDelete
  37. Whoever has attempted the AP question has got marks. None other has been corrected. The biggest problem is that papers were leaked beforehand. Widespread cheating too. Top bosses in the department present their candidates and they are helped out! That is why deserving candidates from lesser known schools are targeted. This time it was S.M Arya and Rukmini Devi. Topper is from East Delhi.

  47. Hello guys. I fail to understand in what respect the answer Q No. 26 of MAT is correct. It is obvious and beyond question that the answer should be 3) His son's. Apart from that, Q.35 of MAT is somewhat unclear, but a logical and reasonable answer should be BOMBAY. They must definitely correct it or cancel the question.

  48. @maverick when is d result coming?

    ReplyDelete
  49. He already knows the result!!
He said the cutoff is 120!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. The issue is not about the cutoff but the manner in which deserving kids of 2 schools have been blocked! I smell a rat!!!

Something needs to be done about this.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Maverick, could you please explain yourself more clearly? What are you talking about and how do you know all of this?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Isn't it clear? Things in DOE are not straightforward. How I know this is not important!

Deserving students from 2 schools have been blocked. Why? because they feel there is some hanky panky going on in those schools. Now for that u cannot eliminate deserving students. They can get their answer sheets checked via RTI and they can find out their true marks. Questions are leaked well in advance. The answer key of English and Hindi papers are exactly the same. This was leaked before the paper. Now English is not counted was decided later - so this info was of no consequence but the approach was dishonest or no? Number of seats has been increased to accommodate specific candidates and this was done recently.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ Maverick I understand what you are saying!! This is indeed a very shameful thing!!
SM Arya had the most number of successful candidates in JSTSE last year!!
But can you please tell who you are??

    ReplyDelete
  54. Where were the question papers leaked Maverick?Could u please atleast tell us about your source?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Also by when will the results be out Maverick?

      Delete
  55. Maverick, if whatever you said is true, it again reflects the shameful face of our country's education system. First, they arbitrarily and unreasonably decided not to count the score of English, turning the efforts and language skills of a large section of students into a sheer waste, and keeping out several deserving candidates from qualifying. Then, as if this was not enough, they upload a key full of errors and fail to acknowledge the corrections. Furthermore, all those injustices that you just reported.
Something really should be done against all this.
